Three in one day? A new record!
My little brother recently got himself a new pet. I wasn't really excited about this, because the last pet (pets, actually) he got were the bane of my existence. I never knew that I hated guinea pigs until he had two of them living in the room that we share. This time, thankfully, he opted for something smaller and less annoying: a leopard gecko. His name is Buddy, and he's a jolly little guy that doesn't make hardly any noise and doesn't smell terrible like the guinea pigs. Unlike a lot of leopard geckos, he doesn't have much of the classic pattern that they're named after and is generally just a grayish color.Buddy seems to like me, as far as I can tell, since he always comes out of his little hidey-holes to see me whenever I come into my room. He always looks a little goofy, but it's a happy goofy. I didn't really expect myself and this lizard to bond as much as we have, but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like the little guy and how much he likes me. I don't really know if I'm supposed to really play with him actively, since I'm not really the reptile expert. I'd like to, but I'm always worried that I'll do something I wasn't supposed to and end up hurting him, so currently, our relationship is limited to staring at each other from either end of his glass tank. It's nice. That's all for today, for real this time.
