My Thoughts On My Vehicle

I like my car. I like it a lot! What started out as a “get me from point A to point B” ordeal slowly blossomed into a healthy appreciation for the machine that carried out that task. For reference, I drive a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta, base model. It’s not exactly the most extravagant of vehicles, but it’s my vehicle, and I’m happy that it is. Personally, I’m not the type of guy to always be in need of some expensive showy thing to brag about. I’m more about the small, niche things that seem to go under the radar. I wouldn’t really say my car is super obscure or anything, but in the eyes of most people, it is painfully average. They’re right. I don’t mind it, though. Through average-ness comes consistency, and that’s good.
For starters, the car is comfortable. It’s not made out of cheap faux leather that cracks and gets all nasty within the first few years of owning it. Most of the interior is either a hardy plastic or nice, comfortable cloth of unknown specification. The steering wheel is no-nonsense, and is a perfect size for … y’know, steering. My car also has a 5-speed manual transmission, which I thoroughly enjoy. Nothing’s quite the same as the feeling of shifting gears. Sometimes it’s a little finicky, but not enough to dislike it. I could probably prattle on about other teency-weency things that I like about the car, but you, the reader, would be here too long, and I’m not here to give you a lecture. With that said, I hope you enjoyed my little rambling session about my wheels. Until next time!
